We love bananas, most especially my kids and we make use of it in each conceivable way. Sometimes we fried it, boiled, roast and eat it raw. They are nutritious and must be part of our daily healthy diet. This is rich in protein, potassium, dietary, fiber, Vitamins A, B. C as well as Folic Acid, Magnesium, Niacin, and Calcium.
Bananas are a staple ingredient in many of fruit smoothies’ recipe.
Here is my Best Bananas Strawberry Smoothie recipe:
Banana Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie
1 cup frozen banana chunks
1 kiwi fruit peeled and slice into pieces
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup of strawberry kiwi fruit juice
Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend until you obtain the consistency you want. Using frozen strawberries and banana will preclude the need for ice to cool the drink. Pour into chilled and serve!
Banana Strawberry Peach Smoothie
This is one of my favorite banana strawberry recipes as it is easy to prepare and rich in essential nutrients:
2 medium banana, cut
2 cups frozen strawberries
1 cup low fat or no fat banana strawberry yogurt
2 cups frozen peach slices
1 cup chilled fruit juice, either strawberry or orange or banana
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend for a few minutes. This recipe produces 3 to 4 servings and works well as an afternoon snack. Usually, I prepare this as an after dinner dessert.
Banana Pomegranate Smoothie
This smoothie recipe is refreshing and simple:
1 big banana, sliced
1 cup cold pomegranate juice
1 cup plain or vanilla low-fat yogurt
Usually, I add pomegranate to the mix for even more flavor.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Yogurt
My kids love this recipe as of its mouthwatering taste and fast to prepare.
1 medium-sized frozen banana
3 large frozen strawberries
Vanilla yogurt low fat
Water and ice cubes into your blender, crush them. Then put in water. Place the banana and add the strawberries and yogurt. Blend it until it becomes smooth. If it begins to get thick, add a little of water, then serve!
Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Honey and Wheat Germ
This one if my favorite! What makes this recipe amazing is due to honey which lends a striking sweetness.
1 ½ cup of vanilla yogurt
2 bananas sliced
½ cup of frozen strawberries
2 tablespoon of wheat germ
1 tablespoon of honey
Place the sliced bananas and strawberries in your blender together with 1 ½ cup of vanilla yogurt, put in the honey and then the wheat germ; keep on blending until it becomes smooth.
So there you are! Five delicious, nutritious smoothies mixes using bananas and strawberries that you can make easily and enjoy by our family all year round.
